Why have a domain?
Your Domain Name is your business’ home on the web, the heart of your online identity. As a website address it’s the gateway for people to see what you have to offer. It tells people who you are, where you are, and what you do.
Is your business still using a gmail, yahoo, or other public email service to communicate with your customers? If so, you’re missing out on an opportunity to present your business in a professional, organised manor. By having this email domain people can also make links to your website making you look professional and reliable. It also offers less chance of your emails appearing as spam or being filtered into junk.
If you set up an account under a member of staffs name, you can redirect those emails to go to your new members names. Or, you could create a generic email for certain roles, like firstname.lastname@example.org so that the new hire just takes over management of that account. They would just need to change the display name to their own
It’s always helpful to set up a calendar reminder ahead of the expiration date, to remind yourself to double check whether you want to renew the domain name, or that the auto-renew option is set up properly.
