Keyboard shortcuts you probably didn’t know existed
When it comes to working, efficiency is key; however fast you type, having a wide knowledge of various keyboard shortcuts will allow you to work even more effectively and at a much faster rate. Most people know the uses of Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V but, are you aware of the advantage knowing what these shortcuts do will be to your personal and work life?
Windows key + D
Need to quickly access your desktop to access specific files? Using this shortcut you can get quick access straight to your desktop, perfect for if you’re a multi-tasker with lots of windows open.
Alt + F4
Have you almost been caught by your boss spending too much time on Facebook, or have your other half almost spot you buying them a gift? This shortcut automatically closes your browser.
Alt + Esc
Similar to Alt + Tab, this shortcut will switch windows in the order in which you opened them. Unlike the other mentioned shortcut, this one does not have the window preview overlay.
Windows open – Alt + ←
This shortcut will allow you to head to the previous webpage in your browser. Similarly, use Alt + → to move forward if you have just gone back a page.
Avoid Phishing scams
Beware of suspicious emails and phone calls. Phishing scams are a constant threat. Phishing scams can be carried out by phone, text, or through social networking sites, but most commonly by email. Be suspicious of any official-looking email message or phone call that asks for personal or financial information.
